Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer who was from London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. After a stint as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in 2017. The album peaked at number three on the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. top-ranked track New Rules which peaked at number six within the United States. Lipa was awarded the Brit Award in 2018 as British Female Soloist and British Breakthrough Artist. The album has been certified platinum across a variety of nations. Dua Lipa, born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London she was born on 22 August 1995. Her mother is Bosnian. Also, her ancestors come from Peja, which is a Kosovo town Peja. Her grandparents were both historians and professors. Gjin along with Rina are her siblings. Lipa learned to play the guitar and sing with her father Oda. He is the lead singer/guitarist of the Kosovan-rock band Oda. Her father played music at home, and included songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at the age of five. She attended the Sylvia Young Theater School was where she first began singing at the age of nine. Lipa sang in the song If I'm Not Gone You by Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. The contract for her record signed with Warner Bros. Records was signed in the year 2014. New Love, Lipa's debut single was released on August 2015.
